tiny PK tools: image download script generator

this tool generates a Python script that downloads images from your PK system to your computer. when you run the generated script, it will try to download all the selected images into the same folder as the script.

this does not work on mobile devices, and will only work if you already have Python 3 installed on your computer! if you have a Mac or a Linux machine, you probably already have Python. if you use Windows, you probably don't.

THIS TOOL IS EXPERIMENTAL! it probably won't break anything, but it's not my problem if it does. we will not provide support for this tool, you're on your own if it breaks. sorry.

this is a quickly-thrown-together tool by iris, one of the PK devs. other tools by iris, big and small, can be found on irys.cc.

filename template info:

base names have the following characters removed (as these characters are not allowed in file names): ! ? * ~ # : | \ / < >

the following replacements are available in the template:

{otype} - replaced with "Member" or "Group" ^[1]
{ftype} - replaced with the image type ("Avatar" / "Icon" / "ProxyAvatar" / "Banner") ^[1]
{name} - replaced with the base name of the member/group
{hid} - replaced with the "short" ID (5 or 6 characters) of the member/group
{uuid} - replaced with the UUID of the member/group

^[1] add r to the start of the tag ({rotype} or {rftype}) for snake_case formatted values
